To find out the characteristics of depressive symptoms and the concept of general health in anxiety disorders, the author applied Zung´s Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS) and Goldberg and Hillier´s General Health Questionnaire(GHQ) to the anxiety disorders(30 patients), and tried factor analysis using SPSS/PC^(+).
The results were summarized as follows.
l. In SDS, 3 factors were extracted as depression and anergia factor, worthlessness factor, and loss of confidence factor.
2. In GHQ, 4 factors were extracted as social dysfunction and somatic symptom factor, insomnia factor, nervousness factor, and dissatisfaction factor.
